Privacy

The short version

This website runs no analytics, has no contact form, no account and no newsletter, and collects nothing about you itself. It is a set of static pages. It does carry Google AdSense advertising, which sets cookies and reads device signals — that is the one third-party script here, and the one thing on this page that is not simply “nothing”. Beyond it, the only record of your visit is the ordinary server log kept by the hosting provider that served you the page.

What this site collects

Directly: nothing. There is no form on this site, no account, no newsletter, no comment box and no tracking. Nothing you do here is stored by me.

Through the host: standard request logs. Serving a web page requires a server to handle a request, and handling a request produces a log entry — typically your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser’s user agent string. This is created by the hosting infrastructure for delivery, security and abuse prevention. It is the minimum that any website produces, and it is not used to build a profile of you or combined with anything else.

What this site does not do

• No analytics of any kind. Not Google Analytics, not a privacy-friendly alternative, not a self-hosted one.
• No cookies or local storage set by this site itself. Google’s advertising does set cookies, and in the UK and the EEA only after you agree. You may also find Kits’ analytics cookies here if you have used Kits and accepted them there, because they are scoped to the whole domain — see cookies, which lists exactly what you should find.
• No embedded third-party content other than advertising — no fonts loaded from another domain, no videos, no social widgets, no maps.
• No sale or sharing of personal data by me. I hold nothing to sell. What Google does with advertising data is set out in its own policy, linked from the cookie page.

This is enforced rather than promised: the site sends a Content Security Policy that names the small list of Google advertising hosts and blocks every other external host, so an unrelated third-party script could not load here even if one were added by mistake.

If you email me

Emailing kpleelaaravind@gmail.com means I hold your message and your email address, in an ordinary email account, for as long as it is useful to keep the conversation. I use it to reply to you and for nothing else. Ask me to delete it and I will.

Retention

Host request logs are retained by the hosting provider under their own retention schedule, typically a short rolling window measured in days. I do not export them, archive them or analyse them.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights over personal data about you, including the right to ask what is held, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy. Given how little this site holds, the realistic case is an email you have sent me.

To exercise any of these, email kpleelaaravind@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. You can do that at any time, though I would rather have the chance to put something right first.

Data protection registration

The data protection registration for this work was completed and the fee paid on 21 August 2026. That is a legal requirement met, not a certification, and it does not mean everything here is fully compliant — compliance is ongoing work. I wrote about what the process actually taught me.

The products are different

ATSYou processes CVs. Space asks before it measures anything. Dev and Tools handle their own data. None of that is covered by this page, and copying this notice across to them would be wrong — each publishes its own.

Changes

If this site starts doing something it does not do today — analytics, a contact form, an account — this page changes in the same release, not after it, and the date at the top changes with it. That is what happened when advertising was switched on: this page, the cookie page and the advertising disclosure were rewritten in the commit that added the tag.
